Herebeforeoprah.com Asks The Important QuestionIt's not yet clear exactly what effect Oprah had on Twitter by featuring the service (and its first million-follower user, Ashton Kutcher) on her show on Friday. Twitter co-founder Biz Stone tells me he's going to try and get some numbers as to just how many people signed up thanks to Oprah, sometime next week. Security Expert Suggests Twitter Focus on Output Escaping not Input Filtering

Twitter's status blog this morning announced that Twitter has addressed the most recent variant of the Mikeyy worm but recommends that you still avoid viewing the profiles of users posting "uncharacteristic or otherwise suspicious tweets."

It shouldn't be this hard, Peter Soderling, founder of Stratus Security told ReadWriteWeb yesterday. Twitter Takes On Facebook Connect, Releasing

Twitter released "Sign in with Twitter" yesterday. Like Facebook's authentication service, Facebook Connect, it will allow Web users to sign into participating third-party sites with their Twitter IDs.

It's got the developer types all giddy. ReadWriteWeb's Marshall Kirkpatric writes, "It seems quite similar to Facebook Connect and Google Friend Connect in a number of ways. It may be more exciting though, because Twitter is a fundamentally different beast."
