HSR Industrial Consultant - Job Details

Position Responsibilities:

Use regular analysis of site data to track sales and use to positively influence business decisions

Implement new U/X strategies

Demonstrate experience in diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, bug fixes and site improvements

Building and maintenance of Magento and other core PHP based applications

Development and coordination of SEO initiatives

Gather technical requirements for third party integrations

Perform quality assurance on code, including cross browser and platform testing

Content management system enhancements

Make technical recommendations related to user experience and capabilities

Write technical documentation related to processes and specifications

Maintain accurate records of completed changes and outstanding changes

Perform updates and maintenance on high volume eCommerce website and servers

Help automate business operations and integrate website with back office systems to handle functions such as invoicing, shipping, and returns

Research emerging technologies with the goal of applying these technologies to current and future projects

Work with Executive Team to set and meet project priorities

Maintain positive open lines of communication with all staff in order to contribute to the smooth flow of information and efficient operations

Commitment to building for excellent user experience

PCI compliancy maintenance

Payment gateway and processor maintenance

Qualifications:

BS degree in Computer Science, similar or equivalent practical experience.

2-3 years of professional experience working with Magento

Strong understanding of Magento code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components

Strong database design, implementation, and query development, specifically MySQL

Implemented front-end layout using HTML, HTML5, CSS, CSS3, JavaScript, GIT, jQuery

Back end experience with PHP and XML

Strong UI/UX skills

Knowledge of current SEO/SEM best practices

Experience with Google Analytics and Adwords

Knowledge of Bronto and Shipworks, preferred

Experience in developing e-commerce websites

Desire to help grow an e-commerce business

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail

Self-directed problem solver with a proven ability to lead and collaborate

Ability to multi-task in fast-paced environment.
