Had an "interesting" lunch-date with my 7 year old son yesterday. I love small-town greasy-spoon diners. Even better than comfort-food and cheese-ball metal signs... are the characters that roll in there. So, when junior and I took the bill up to the cashier, it took a while to process what I saw... Mind you, this is a diner. Watered-down coffee Vinyl booths Bacon-scented air That's the norm. Catching a glimpse of frumpy-granny sitting at an empty bar. Not so normal, right? Here's what got me though... Gran was sporting a bright red scooter helmet. While sitting in front of two bottles of beer. You just don't see that everyday. Which got me thinking about our word of Internet Marketing... People rarely pay attention anymore. (Heck, it's a miracle you are reading this. haha) In a sea of sameness... How do you stand out and get attention to grow your online business? Where's your... Red helmet-wearing, drunk granny? That's why one of the most powerful attention-getting tactics you can use online is the good 'ol... ==> Pattern Interrupt It's bizarre... shocking... curious... and commands you to wake up and pay attention. Good TV commercials apply this masterfully. You are sucked-in to sit-through the whole thing. Example: Do you remember those Wendy's "Where's the beef" commercials back in the 80s? Brilliant! Which reminds me... If you want to understand how (and where) to build your online "red helmet granny" attention-getters and cut through the clutter... While there is still time left... you might as well pick this up and go grab your $60 discount -- use coupon code "VIDEO". Get attention. Make sales. Be happy. Your business depends on it.
