During a recent review, we noticed you have positive balance in your PayPal account and haven’t performed a transaction for 7 years or more. This means your funds may be subject to Malaysia Unclaimed Moneys laws.
What’s going on? According to Malaysia Unclaimed Moneys laws, funds in your PayPal account which has not had any transactions for 7 years or more may be considered unclaimed money. If you do not perform a transaction from your PayPal account by 3/1/2017, we will lodge the funds in your account with the Jabatan Akauntan Negara Malaysia (JANM).

What do I need to do? As your account is currently limited, you need to log into your PayPal account to resolve the limitation(s) in order to transact on your account.
Once limitation(s) on your account are resolved, you will need to do one of the following by 3/1/2017:
- Make a payment. You can do this on any website that accepts PayPal or you can make a payment from your PayPal account.
- Make a withdrawal. Log in to your PayPal account and click Withdraw money to withdraw the funds to your linked bank account/Visa card account. It is free if RM400.00 MYR or more is withdrawn to a bank account; RM3.00 MYR if less than RM400.00 MYR is withdrawn to a bank account; or RM20.00 MYR if withdraw to a Visa card account.
- Add money to your account. Log in to your PayPal account and click Add money using RHB to add funds from your linked bank account or you can receive a payment to your PayPal account.
Please act with urgency. It can take several days to confirm your documents and remove the limitation.
