Lesser-Known Firefox Feature Slows Down Mouse Wheel Scrolling Speed April 21, 2009 at 6:00 pm Ever wanted to slow down the speed when using the mouse-wheel to scroll through a page? Reader Raghav writes in with an interesting tip that you might not know about. Raghav's tip couldn't be simpler—just hold down the Alt key (or Cmd for Mac users) while using the mouse wheel to scroll the page, and Firefox will scroll at a nice smooth pace instead of flying down the page like normal. This could come in handy when you're trying to scan quickly through a long Wikipedia page, or just as a fun trick to show your friends. Thanks, Raghav! In "Legal Copy," Apple floats more (and more, and more) fine-print legal copy over actors John Hodgman ("PC") and Justin Long ("Mac") as Hodgman makes claims like "I'm an incredibly easy-to-use PC." Mac users will love it, PC users will shrug, life goes on.
